Hotel Information: The Flamingo anchors the famous four corners of Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road, with glittering casinos, free shows, and other Strip attractions within easy reach. The notorious Bugsy Siegel opened the original Flamingo in 1946, paving the way for modern Las Vegas. (“Flamingo” was the nickname of Siegel’s red-haired, long-legged girlfriend Virginia Hill.) The original hotel is gone, but the Flamingo still appeals to nonstop partiers. Families also find a warm welcome here.
Amenity highlights: Comedian George Wallace performs six nights weekly. The Caribbean-themed Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville restaurant features five bars, live music, and patios overlooking the Strip. Five pools (one open year-round), a children's pool, water slides, and two freeform spa tubs are set in a 15-acre garden.

The 28-story Flamingo Las Vegas offers 3,565 guestrooms, all with floor-to-ceiling windows. Contemporary decor includes loveseats and upholstered armchairs.
